Stanford Memorial Church part 1

You can never get tired of this beautiful church!
I love working with Melissa, she's super sweet and so organized.

I had the pleasure of working with two photographers to create two very unique weddings.

Here are some of my favorite from Danny Dong Photo Studios

Special thanks to Danny and Julia of Danny Dong Photo Studio; Melissa of Stanford Church; Shari of Rosewood Sandhill Hotel in Menlo Park, Tiffany Chiang of Design her image; Isabel with Pretty in Pink for all the wonderful flowers and Peggy of Olio style for the program

Parisian Macaron 101 Class

A couple months ago, a few girlfriends and I went to take this Parisian Macaron 101 Class with the fabulous Venus Wei of La Vie Douce Design.

It was such a wonderful treat to walk into her kitchen space.  She welcomed us with a cute table design filled with various dessert and ice tea.

She started by making Italian and French Macaron. After making the beautiful shells, she taught us how to make two different kinds of fillings.

We took a little lunch break, then it's our term to bake.  It was so much fun trying to put all the ingredients together  and pipe it to make it perfectly round.

After all of us finished baking different flavors of Macarons, we all got to share it and take it home to our family. It was so much fun to learn how to bake and package it so beautifully. Thanks Venus!

a World Away Event

Being a part of the wedding industry, I love planning weddings and events.  I would also like to give back.  My dear friend, Elley Ho of Elley Photography. www.elleyphotography.com
Elley is part of NEIO (Nepal Eduction Initiative Organization) and stayed for four weeks in 3 mountain villages in Nepal in September of 2010.  After her trip, we sat down and had lunch.  She shared her trip with me and and her amazing images that was taken by her and Scott Taylor.  I was speechless.  I felt grateful to what we have and I appreciate life in a new profound perspective.

We wanted to raise money for NEIO and also showcase the beautiful work they have put forth in the villages of Nepal and the journey Elley and Scott took together.  We decided to put together a photo exhibit to raise money.  I am truly honored to be a part of this experience and I am so thankful to all the sponsors that either donated their services for the raffle and their wonderful dessert.

I want to share a few more pictures of the event.
Please also visit Elley's Blog to see more of the pictures she took:
